Akhil Ibrahim

Role: Student Immunology Researcher

Akhil is an undergraduate researcher studying microbiology and immunology, with a focus on cancer immunology and T cell biology. His work centers on investigating T cell function using wet lab approaches, with an interest in how immune cells respond to complex disease environments. He is particularly drawn to bridging experimental immunology with computational methods, aiming to bring more creativity and integrative thinking into bioinformatics. Akhil is motivated by the potential of immunology to shape the future of medicine, and hopes to contribute to a deeper, systems-level understanding of immune function.

Ngoc Tao

Role: Student Researcher

Ngoc is an undergraduate researcher studying microbiology and immunology, with a strong interest in cancer biology. Her academic background includes work related to cancer metabolism, cancer epigenetics, and cancer immunotherapy, reflecting a broad curiosity about how cellular processes are altered in disease. She is interested in exploring how molecular and immune mechanisms intersect in cancer progression and treatment. Through her research, Ngoc aims to build a deeper understanding of complex biological systems and contribute to advancements in cancer-related research.

Kennedy Kreutzer

Role: Student Researcher

Kennedy is an undergraduate student majoring in biomedical engineering and a researcher at the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. Her work focuses on advancing research related to spinal cord injury and paralysis, contributing to efforts that aim to better understand and treat neurological damage. With an interest in the intersection of engineering and biology, she is particularly motivated by the potential of translational research to develop real-world medical solutions. Kennedy is driven to apply integrative and innovative approaches to improve outcomes for individuals affected by paralysis.
